COVID-19 information and resources :: 22 March 2020 Update

Although clubs normally store/file their risk assessment forms at their club, PCA NSW has requested that all clubs submit their initial COVID-19 risk assessment to the state office (email admin@pcansw.org.au) before they hold their first rally/training day.

For reference and to assist clubs with this requirement, QPC and MPC have shared their completed risk assessment form and checklist (for Phase 1) below.

QPC Risk Assessment

QPC COVID Safety Checklist

MPC Risk Assessment

MPC COVID Safety Plan

If your club is happy to share theirs, please email them to me (zone16president@gmail.com) and I will add them to updates on this site.

Pony Club NSW is now in Phase 2 (ACT is in Phase 2.2) with the further easing of restrictions to groups of 20 for NSW and groups of 100 for the ACT (these numbers include staff, trainers and spectators). The next phase (phase 3 competition) of the resumption of sport will be introduced on 1 July, and more details will be published once they are known. With the everchanging nature of the situation please keep up to date with the latest Government advice and Public Health orders (refer to links at the bottom of this page).

Regardless of which state your club is in (NSW or the ACT), to fulfil PCA insurance requirements, the risk assessment forms (for each respective Phase when your activity is held) needs to be completed by every club, along with a Covid-19 Safety Plan and the Coronavirus Self-declaration form for every person entering the grounds to attend a rally or competition. Links to these forms, including example risk assessment forms for each Phase of resuming our sport activities, and additional COVID-19, sport and coaching resources are all at the bottom of this page.

As noted by pony club, competitions are resuming 1 July; and there are many scheduled across NSW. The second half of 2020 is likely to be very busy as PCA NSW are hoping to hold all state championships, so keep an eye out for further details and dates over the next week or so.

The Zone 16 events calendar is up to date but some important events to keep in mind for our Zone are:

  • Sunday, 2 August Z16 MG championships
  • Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 September Z16 Jamboree
  • Saturday, 3 and Sunday, 4 October NSW State MG Championships
  • Monday, 5 and Tuesday, 6 October NSW State Team Sporting Championships

Events will only be held if NSW/ACT continues to have low COVID-19 cases especially once sport is back in competition phase, so please make sure you keep up to date with current information.

As well as the QPC risk assessment form above, example risk assessment forms for Phase 1 have been provided previously (see the news and home pages of this site) and clubs need to include details specific to their venue and activities that they will be conducting (for each Phase).
