Zone 16 spray jackets are our zone colours of red and white, with a black trim.
Spray jackets are official pony club uniform and should be worn with the polo shirt during colder months and adverse weather conditions.
Spray jackets in Zone or Club colours are allowed up to and including State level competitions (zipped closed when riding).
Riding Trousers may be worn in all disciplines at club level and all disciplines except Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing at zone and state level (refer to PCANSW Blue Book Section 45 for full details).
Jodhpurs
In addition to the PCANSW uniform rules, Z16 by-laws allow Z16 riders to wear jodhpurs of a solid black or white colour at club rallies and Zone 16 events.
- Jodhpurs should be solid (without patterns) and must not have excessive bling, logos or embellishments.
- When riding in teams for any discipline, riders must all wear the same colour jodhpurs.
- Riders must observe the PCANSW State-specific jodhpur colour requirements of fawn, beige and oatmeal when attending any events/activities outside of Zone 16, including all state and national events/activities.
When riding at other Zone or State events and competitions, beige, fawn or oatmeal jodhpurs must be worn.
Please note that Z16 clubs may have their own by-laws at club level and that white and black jodhpurs may not be suitable across all disciplines.
Boots: correctly fitted black or brown riding boots with jodhpurs and Roper or Dogger type boots with riding trousers (refer to PCANSW Blue Book Section 45 for full details).
Ordering our Zone 16 Uniform
Individual orders of our Zone 16 polo tops and jackets can be made online through our Webshop.
The password for ordering on the webshop is Z16Pony22
The first round of orders for our new polo tops and jackets will close 28 March 2021 so the first bulk order can hopefully arrive in time for the May ODE State Championships.
We will open another round of orders later this year but if you know that you will be entering teams for the State Mounted Games Championships, please order your polo tops and spray jackets in this production run, by 28 March.
There will usually be two opportunities for placing you orders each year.
Our orders will not usually need such a long production time but this is the first production run and will take a month to manufacture.
Also, this order will be delivered as a bulk delivery (you will be asked to enter your address for delivery but the entire order for Zone 16 will be delivered to a central location for pick up). This can be changed for deliveries in the future.
Description of polo tops and spray jackets
spray jackets
There are three jackets to choose from in the Webshop, but only two of the jackets can be used by riders when riding (and should be zipped closed when riding):
- rain jacket with a roll-away hood for $60 (light to medium weight jacket with cotton-type lining and good water proofing)
- soft shell jacket with no hood for $80 (heavy weight jacket with a very warm thermal lining and excellent water proofing)
The third jacket in the webshop is exactly the same as the soft shell jacket (heavy weight jacket with thermal lining) but it has a fixed hood and this jacket cannot be used by riders in competition, while riding. Due to demand at Zone 16 meetings, it has been included for a warm alternative for non-riders or for wearing by riders when they are not riding.
polo shirts
You can purchase either a long sleeve or a short sleeve polo top. If you are riding in a team, it is recommended that you all wear the same type of top (long or short sleeves).
The materials are a “sublimated” material, which means they are a polyester blend that can be used for screen printing and produce a vibrant colour with modern design at a minimal cost.
The materials are a a fast drying polyester material that is used widely across sports and by PCANSW. These tops are not a cotton material or embroidered.
The sublimated material and screen printing process also allows for smaller manufacturing numbers when needed and the uniform does not need to be ordered in bulk and stored at cost.
Saddle Pads
The new Zone 16 saddle blanket is plain white with two embroidered Zone 16 triangles (one on either side of the saddle cloth) and red piping.
The new saddle blankets must be used at all state events. These will replace any and all old saddle blankets previously used by Zone 16 at state events.
For further information regarding all uniform matters, please discuss with you club officials. If your club needs assistance with any aspect of our Zone 16 uniform, please contact a member of the Zone 16 Executive (refer contacts tab).
