Zone 16 Jamboree

This event will be run according to current COVID requirements, including that all attendees (including riders) must bring their own hand sanitiser and face masks.

This is a CLOSED EVENT. This means no spectators and only one parent/carer per rider.

HELPERS: All entries require a nominated helper. This is a Zone 16 run event and depends on parents/nominated helpers to run the event. Associates without helpers can help with Friday set-up or pack down on Sunday. No helper means no competition.

COVID Declaration: a COVID self-declaration form will be forwarded to you for completion and submission 24 hrs prior to the event.

JAMBOREE 2020

TIME:                  8.00am gear check for 8.30am start

ENTRY FEE:        $45.00 (includes a $10 paramedic levy) per day, 3 or more riders maximum of $110 per day

Notes:

  1. The competition will be run in accordance with the PCA NSW Rule Book (the Blue Book) including full pony club uniform (beige jodhpurs, shirt, tie,)
    1. Riders can enter 2 tests only. To be eligible for champion riders MUST ride both classes for their age group. Riders wishing to compete for champion MUST compete in the correct age group (junior or associate). Results can be used to assist in State and National nominations.
    2. Riders must be a current financial member of PCANSW
  2. Riders competing at state in both jumping and dressage but entered on different horses can compete on each horse in the appropriate event/age group. Please nominate only 1 horse via omni sport online and notify second horse & event via zone16secretary@gmail.com . Those riders wishing to nominate for both state jumping and state Dressage can ride two horses, for everyone else: riders C grade and above may bring a second horse in accordance with PCANSW rules (amended March 2017). Each combination will need to pay entry fee. Second horse non-competitive, must be declared at entry and the competitive horse must compete first if in the same class/ grade. Higher grade horse is the competitive horse If in same grade competitive horse must ride first
  3. Led riders are not eligible to compete in showjumping or any dressage test except in the Cookanalla Dressage Test
  4. Callers permitted for Preparatory A and 1.B only, penalties will be incurred (one error of course)
  5. Strictly no grading card no jump, full uniform including helmet to walk jumping classes
  6. The Zone 16 Executive reserves the right to change the program if required.
  7. Age groups may be split dependant on entries led to associate
  8. Refunds after the closing date will be given only upon presentation of a medical certificate or vet certificate
  9. Dogs – strictly no dogs on horse areas and must be on lead at all times.

 

SCORING:

10 points for 1st place down to 1 point for 10th place for each event. For same horse/ rider combination

AWARDS:

  • Ribbons to fifth place in each individual event.
  • Age championship awards for dressage and sporting
  • Grade championship awards for Showjumping
  • Dressage: club team championship competition, first to third place – Bicknell Perpetual Trophy awarded to the champion club team. Riders will be given a time to compete and jump in between.
  • Showjumping: One club team championship competition, first to third place. Teams will comprise a maximum of four riders from the same club and a minimum of three riders. Maximum of 2 riders in each grade scores will count. Each grade will be open for 1 hour, riders must jump between dressage rounds.
  • Sporting: Riders will need to complete their sporting between riding classes.
  • All awards are open to all competitors. i.e. riders from outside of Zone 16 are eligible.
  • Saturday and Sunday at the completion of events there will be a mounted Presentation of all the point score winners for the day. All riders are to be mounted for this Presentation.
  • Led riders are not eligible for championship classes.
  • Riders must choose between hack class and hunter class.
  • All riders may enter working hunter but as above must choose between hack or hunter in the ridden. All riders are eligible to enter working hunter classes, the class will incorporate a set of jumps.

There will be 4 rings and each event will follow the first vacant ring. Associates will have 2 groups 17 & under 21 and 21 & under 25 if numbers warrant the division. All pleasure and working hunter classes to be ridden in snaffle bit.

Riders can ride up to two dressage tests. To be considered for the championship riders must rider the allocated tests for their age group. However, riders may elect any two tests noting they will not be eligible for the championship. Led riders are welcome to participate in the cookanalla test.
